The College

The Bible College of Western Australia exists to serve the Christian church through the provision of excellence in Christian education. This intention is encapsulated in our mission: “To know our God, to serve our community and to impact our world.” The college uses the Statement of Faith of the Evangelical Alliance which can be seen on: http://www.ea.org.au/AboutEA/StatementofFaith.aspx

The College was established in 1977 as a trans-denominational evangelical college. The training it provides is founded upon the conviction that the Bible is inspired by God and therefore carries his authority. The vision that our council, faculty, staff and volunteers carry for this College is that it be:

  • EVANGELICAL: giving priority to the proclamation of the Gospel so that anyone might come into a living personal relationship with God. This relationship is with the Father, brought about through repentance and faith in the Son and sealed by the Holy Spirit whose indwelling of the believer is evidenced in both gifts and fruit.
  • SCRIPTURAL: standing under the authority of Scripture, humbly seeking to hear, understand and apply what it says.
  • PRACTICAL: integrating what we believe (head), what we feel (heart) and what we do (hands and feet)).
  • MISSIONAL: equipping believers to obey the Great Commandment and fulfil the Great Commission.
  • ACCESSIBLE: open to all, no matter where they will ultimately serve in the church.
  • TRANS-DENOMINATIONAL: hearing, understanding, respecting and appreciating other faith traditions. This includes having staff from varying traditions and denominations.
  • INTERNATIONAL: Multi-ethnic – hearing, understanding, respecting and appreciating other racial perspectives and cultures. This includes having multi-ethnic staff. Seeking to serve the church both here and abroad.
  • PROFESSIONAL: seeking excellence in all aspects of college life.
